Released in August 1988, the VN Holden Commodore represented a dramatic departure from the earlier VB–VL models. It was the first Commodore developed primarily for Australian conditions, featuring a wider body, improved safety, and significantly more interior space.
The VN also introduced Holden’s new-generation 3.8-litre V6, laying the foundation for Commodores right through to the VF.
