The UC Torana ended up being the last Holden Torana model ever produced. It represented the third model in the third Holden Torana generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UC represented a major facelift to the previous model. It featured softer styling at the front and rear ends. Rectangular headlights replaced the round ones from the LX. No V8 would be available, only 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder options. For this reason, the UC is considered by many to be one of the less collectible Toranas. Performance and luxury models also lacked in the UC line up, comparatively speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3QjgCpi\">LC LJ LH LX and UC Torana Repair Manual<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Changes were in the works at Holden. The fuel crisis of the late 1970&#8217;s lead to a rethink for the 1980&#8217;s. The Holden Torana proved to General Motors Holden Executives that a viable market did exist for a medium sized car. Unfortunatley from here on it, the Torana would not be the car to fill that market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mid size Holden VB Commodore, introduced in 1978 to fill the mid size car market once occupied by the Torana. The Commodore carried the mantle as being Holdens top family car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Holden Camira, introduced in 1982, with the JB Camira filled the smaller car end of the mid size car market for Holden. A front wheel drive. Available with a 4 cylinder engine only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production of the UC Torana totalled approximately 55 000 units.
