A lot of testing was done to ensure the VB was suited for Australian driving conditions (it was essentially a rebadged opel). Generally it passed these tests with flying colours, but did not do so well with the all the Australian conditions as they succumbed to rust from our coast, faded paint from our sun and poor interior plastics from our heat.
