These were real rust buckets. Even ones that lived out in the bush somehow managed to get rust. Original rust free HD’s are quite rare.
Poor braking performance
Rust in the doors, rust in the floor pan, rust in the firewall, rust in the sills, rust in the wheel arches, rust in the bootlid, rust in the bonnet.
Front windscreens have been known to pop out and/ or split relatively easy. The original glass wasn’t safety glass and this in itself can cause serious injury
It had a narrow track and had poor braking. This caused issues with premature wear to other components, namely the suspension and steering systems.
Due to its narrow track and bad braking it also had poor traction. Check for accident damage as well as diff issues and a warped/ twisted chassis in the rear
